Just The Facts!

Over 4,000,000 teens throughout the United States are infected each year with some form of a sexually transmitted disease ("STD").

STD does not discriminate. STD knows no age limit, no skin color, no income level. STD is not specific to anyone's religion, creed or sexual preference.  STD is not limited to any geographical boundaries or zip code locales.

       Unprotected sexual intercourse places young persons at risk for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and unintended pregnancy.*

In an effort to increase public awareness of the causes and effects of Sexually Transmitted Diseases in young adults, Treasure The Children, Inc. has begun fund raising efforts to purchase and disseminate various educational products.

Written in common sense language and terminology that is readily understood among adolescents, the books and pamphlets are designed to be self-explanatory and user friendly to the reader.

The subject matter included in these materials is not intended to diagnose whether or not an individual has been exposed to, or contracted, a sexually transmitted disease, but rather to discuss the underlying causes of various illnesses; whether or not they are treatable and/or curable; and how to practice safer sexual behavior.

Our business plan for distribution of these materials includes the solicitation of funds from various sources to help offset the cost of publication and production of these materials, in an effort to maximize distribution to parents, schools, clinics and other educational facilities that service America’s youth.
